BEIJING, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- Central China’s Hunan province realized some 47.54 billion yuan of foreign trade with countries along Belt and Road in the first eight months of 2018, up 48.3 percent year on year, according to Changsha Customs.
The growth rate was 20 percentage points higher than the province's overall foreign trade growth during the period.
Particularly, Hunan's trade with 11 countries in Southeast Asia contributed 45 percent to its total trade volume with Belt and Road countries during the period.
It is noted that electro mechanicals are the main exporting products of Hunan and the province mainly imports coal and electronic products from countries along the Belt and Road routes. (Edited by Jiang Feifan, Niu Huizhe)
