BEIJING, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Trade value of traditional medicine between China and Africa reached 80 million U.S. dollars in 2017, two times more than that of the five years ago, Yu Wenming, director with State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine said at China-Africa Traditional Medicine Cooperation, which was held earlier in Beijing.
Service trade for traditional medicine has become the new growth point for China-Africa cooperation.
According to People's Daily, Chinese government has signed contracts for traditional medicine with Ghana, Tanzania, Comoros, Malawi, and Ethiopia, providing services for Africans through medical treatment, scientific research and health care. China has dispatched more than 2,000 doctors of traditional Chinese medicine to African countries. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
