China Ocean Development Index
China Ocean Development Index (ODI) is a quantitative evaluation of China's ocean development during certain period, with 2010 as base period and 100 as base period index. It aims to scientifically measure China's ocean development, comprehensively reflect China's achievements in building a maritime power, and enhance people's ocean awareness as a whole. Filling the vacuum of China's ocean composite index, ODI covers economic development, society and livelihood, environment and ecology, scientific and technological innovation, comprehensive management, public services, and international affairs and cooperation. Fully reflecting society and livelihood, strategic emerging industries, and other elements and highlights, it is a comprehensive assessment system mirroring ocean sustainable development and green development. It plays a key role in offering a dynamic quantification of China's ocean development trajectory, fully reflecting the state's macro ocean policy guidance in the new era, guiding the shift of ocean resources development and utilization modes and ocean economy development approaches, and serving the government's decision-making.
