Linyi Mall was opened in the early stage of reform and opening up. After nearly 40 years of cultivation and development, it has become the largest market cluster, an important logistics turnover center and a trade wholesale center in China. It is also a pilot unit for comprehensive reform of international trade in Shandong Province. In order to win more say for Linyi Mall in pricing, further enhance the market competitiveness, improve the popularity of Linyi Mall, and promote the internationalization process of Linyi Mall, Linyi Municipal Government launched the project of conducting research, development and preparation of the Linyi Mall Index in May 2012. The index was approved by experts from the Shandong Provincial Commodity Price Bureau in May 2014 and officially released to the public in December 2014. Linyi Mall Index is mainly composed of the price index and the prosperity index. Among them, the price index is a comprehensive reflection of price changes in Linyi Mall, including products of 16,550 sub-types and 3,055 types under 15 categories such as daily necessities, cultural and educational office supplies, clothing, building and decorating materials, steel, plates, hardware and electrical materials, ceramics, lamps, furniture, automobile and motorcycle accessories, household appliances, audio equipment, chemical raw materials, grain and oil, food and agricultural products; the prosperity index is a comprehensive reflection of the development potential of Linyi Mall. The price index is released once a week, and the date of the last week is released at 10:00 am every Monday; the prosperity index of Linyi Mall is released once a month, and the release time is generally on the 8th of each month.
