上海港集装箱吞吐量全球第一 6个中国港口进入前十

BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhua) -- East China's Shanghai Municipality has recently released a three-year plan (2018-2020) for the construction of an international shipping center, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Friday.

The three-year plan proposes that by 2020, Shanghai should basically build itself into an international shipping center with a high concentration of shipping resources, a sound shipping service function, an excellent shipping market environment, and efficient modern logistics services, capable of allocating global shipping resources.

Under the plan, Shanghai will focus on advancing six major initiatives, including building a world-class sea-air hub, optimizing the hub-port transportation system, promoting the green, safe and efficient development of shipping, comprehensively upgrading the level of modern shipping services, and strengthening construction of the shipping center.

In recent years, Shanghai has made remarkable achievements in promoting the construction of international shipping center.

For example, Shanghai port has become a port with the largest number of container routes in the Chinese mainland. Shanghai's modern shipping service function has been continuously improved, with the initial formation of shipping service clusters including Waigaoqiao, Yangshan-Lingang, North Bund, Lujiazui Yangjing, Wusongkou, Hongqiao, and Pudong Airport.
