VLADIVOSTOK, June 12 (Xinhua)-- In the first quarter of 2018, a total of 216,000 Chinese tourists visited Russia, an increase of 18 percent over the same period of last year, according to the statistics released by Russia's Federal State Statistics Service.
Statistics show that in the first quarter, a total of 4.3 million foreign visitors had been to Russia. Ukraine, Kazakhstan and China ranked the top three countries of tourist source to Russia.
The number of Chinese tourists to Russia ranks the first in the Asia Pacific region.
In recent years, Russia has gradually become a popular destination for Chinese tourists to travel abroad. In addition to major cities such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, many other cities have also attracted a large number of Chinese tourists. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
