BEIJING, June 4 (Xinhua) -- China sold 114,000 units of heavy trucks in May, an increase of 17 percent year on year, hitting a monthly record high for the fourth time from the beginning of this year, www.cs.com.cn quoted cvworld.cn as saying on Monday.
From January to May, China cumulatively sold 560,200 units of heavy trucks, up 15 percent year on year.
cvworld.cn considered that the continuous sales of shop trucks is the main source of sales growth. Since the beginning of this year, the monthly growth rate of investment in fixed assets, especially infrastructure investment, has remained at double digits.
Analysts with CITIC Securities said that the performance of China’s heavy trucks market was better-than-expected in May. Although there is a higher probability of a flat or small drop in June compared to the same period last year, the annual sales of heavy trucks will reach more than 1 million units, which is much better than the 900,000 units at the beginning of the year.
