BEIJING, May 30 (Xinhua) -- China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd. (CGGC) currently has 49 projects under construction in countries and regions along the Belt and Road, with a total contracts value of 14.7 billion U.S. dollars, according to a report from the Xinhua-run Economic Information Daily.
Chen Xiaohua, deputy general manager of CGGC and chairman of China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co., Ltd., said that when cooperating with multinational corporations in the construction of the Belt and Road, they have achieved strong alliances and mutual trust, making it easier for financial institutions to provide project financing and at the same time boosting risk sharing and strengthening management.
Through technology sharing, strategic cooperation, industrial alliances, service consulting, joint contracting and joint investment development, CGGC has signed strategic cooperation agreements with Germany's Siemens and other technology companies and world-renowned engineering consulting companies, such as AECOM and Mott MacDonald.
It’s also learned that CGGC has more than 100 overseas branches, covering all countries and regions along the Belt and Road. Its business scope covers electricity, transportation, construction, petrochemicals, and agriculture. (Edited by Yang Qi, kateqiyang@xinhua.org)
