BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and Ministry of Finance (MOF) on Wednesday released a plan of building a national new material industry resource sharing platform in an effort to accelerate the exchange of industrial resources, meet government departments’ needs for informatization management, and provide strong support for development of the new material industry.
Under the plan, by 2020, a multi-stakeholder, public-benefit-based, and highly efficient and integrated new material industry resource sharing service ecosystem will be basically formed in the key areas such as advanced basic materials, key strategic materials, and cutting-edge new materials, as well as key links in the new material industry chain.
Meanwhile, a portal network system of new materials, industrial resource sharing featuring technological convergence, business integration, and data fusion will be established.
By 2025, the ecosystem of new material industry resource sharing services will be more complete. The capacity of new material industry resource sharing will reach the international advanced level as a whole, said the plan. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
