BEIJING, May 7 (Xinhua) -- The Chengdu Area of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Sichuan FTZ) in the past year has recorded a 44.44 percent increase in the registration of foreign-invested enterprises, which was 292 as of April, 2018.
Statistics show that the area has attracted a total of 70,052 enterprises registered since its establishment in May 2017.
Hong Kong, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, the United States and Singapore were the top five countries and regions establishing enterprises in Chengdu Area, which were 40, 31, 30, 22 and nine respectively.
Meanwhile, statistics showed that there were 64,494 tertiary industry enterprises in Chengdu Area including 22,563 registered in the past year, accounting for 92.06 percent of the total. Information transmission, software and information technology service, leasing and business service, wholesale and retail industries have constituted the investment hotspots.
