BEIJING-- As an important region along the Belt and Road, the Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) plays a significant role in the Belt and Road construction. The cooperation betweenChinaand the 16 Central and Eastern European countries ("16+1 cooperation"), as a platform, has made remarkable contributions to the development of China-CEEC cooperation. It is conducive to the China-Europe cooperation and the Belt and Road construction, according to Wang Haifeng, an official of the Institute for International Economic Research under the National Development and Reform Commission.
