China to improve entry-exit services to attract professionals -- China will adjust its entry-exit policies to grant easier entry and residence application in some of its local economic zones, said the country's Ministry of Public Security. The updated policies will apply to free trade zones in south China's Guangdong Province and southeast China's Fujian Province, as well as economic zones in northeast China's Jilin Province, eastern Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian Provinces.
China amends regulations to simplify administrative procedures -- China has revised regulations on administrative procedures to make it easier for businesses to gain government approvals in the latest effort to invigorate the market. Altogether 35 clauses in 15 administrative laws and regulations would be amended to eliminate approval requirements and enable the government to strengthen oversight after the removal, according to a State Council decree.
China securities watchdog punishes insider trading -- The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has confiscated illegal earnings of and imposed huge fines on individuals involved in an insider trading case. Three people were named in a CSRC statement for taking advantage of knowledge of a series of acquisitions by Shenzhen-listed Hengkang Medical Group Co., Ltd.
China extends anti-dumping duties on caprolactam imports from EU, U.S. -- China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced October 21 that it will extend anti-dumping duties on imports of caprolactam, a synthetic polymer widely used in textiles, from the EU and the U.S. for another five years. China imposed anti-dumping duties on caprolactam in 2011 on the grounds that the products were being dumped on the Chinese market at below market prices.
China imposes anti-dumping duties on POM copolymer -- China October 25 announced a final ruling on imposing anti-dumping duties on polyformaldehyde (POM) copolymer imported from the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Malaysia. The Ministry of Commerce ruled that the three countries had dumped the product into China, causing substantial damage to the domestic industry, according to a statement on its website.
China to launch nationwide inspection on commercial housing sales -- China will launch a nationwide inspection on sale prices of commercial property in its latest effort to standardize the country's property market. From Oct. 30 to Nov. 30, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the National Development and Reform Commission will jointly inspect irregularities of real estate developers and agents on commercial property sales.
