BEIJING, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Online ride-hailing app Didi Chuxing said on Wednesday that it will stop sending orders to its registered drivers in Beijing who do not hold a local license plate by April 1, chinanews.com reported on Wednesday.
The move is in line with a rule announced by Beijing regulators in November 2016, the report noted.
The report also quoted Didi as saying that the platform "recognized the reduced transport capacity will negatively influence users' experience and sincerely apologizes for that." The company will use various techniques to improve efficiency and do its best to satisfy users' demand.
Another ride-hailing platform Yidao Yongche also said that it is carrying out the same rules in a gradual and timely manner. (Global Times)
