BEIJING, March 9 (Xinhua) -- China had officially released the first standardization development plan for the railway industry in the period of 2016-2020, which specified the guiding opinions, basic principles, development targets, and main tasks of China’s railway industry, so as to promote the healthy development of the industry.
An official with National Railway Administration said the plan analyzed the development situation of standardization in railway sector for the first time, and promote structural optimization and upgrading of the industry, to help China’s railway to go global.
According to the development plan, the railway standardization work aims to carry out six main tasks, including implementing railway standard system, strengthening standard formulation and revision for key areas, improving standardization mechanism for the railway sector, promoting internationalization standard formulation, and deepening standardization research.
