China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) has completed construction of the Nairobi Southern Bypass Project on November 1.
Nairobi Southern Bypass Project is another road project with the Export-Import Bank of China providing preferential buyer's credit after the Nairobi Northeastern Bypass Project.
The construction of this project started in June, 2012. The main line is 28.6 km long in total and the designed speed is100 km/h, and it is a two-way four-lane road.
Upon completion of the project, Mombasa Road leading to the downtown of Nairobi, capital of Kenya in Africa, and A104 National Highway to Uganda are connected, and it also realizes interconnectivity with three intersecting trunk roads leading to the downtown of Nairobi, so it greatly relieves the traffic pressure of Nairobi, provides high-level road service for the residential areas and commercial areas alongthe line and drives the local economy.
