ATHENS, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Greece expressed condolences on Sunday over the crash of a Russian military aircraft in the Black Sea.
"We express our sorrow for the tragic crash of the Russian Tu-154. We convey our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and we stand by the side of Russian people," the Greek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, upon order of Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos, General Secretary of the Greek presidency contacted the Russian Embassy in Athens to convey condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin and to the families of the victims.
A Russian military Tu-154 aircraft crashed into the Black Sea on Sunday, presumably killing all 92 people aboard.
