TIRANA, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Albania's economic growth rate is expected to hit four percent in 2017, Finance Minister Arben Ahmetaj said at a news conference Tuesday.
According to Ahmetaj, the country's economic growth will accelerate after 2017, reaching up to five percent in 2018 and six percent in 2019.
Albania's economy has returned to a positive cycle of economic growth and its citizens will benefit from the country's economic growth in the next few years, according to the official.
Foreign investments in the country reached 701 million euros(733 million U.S. dollars) in the first nine months of this year, reaching an all-time high, the official said, adding most of the investments went to sectors of industry, services and tourism.
The Albanian government will put forward measures that seek to increase foreign investments, Ahmetaj said.
