BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- China on Monday allocated 40 million yuan (around 6 million U.S. dollars) to Hainan Province in south China for disaster relief following Typhoon Sarika.
The money from the ministries of finance and the civil affairs will be used for relocation, compensation and rebuilding.
Hainan itself will spend 80 million yuan on disaster relief. Authorities enacted a grade-IV emergency response for Sarika earlier this month. Enditem
