Sino-Thai railway project to kick off in October -- The Chinese embassy in Thailand announced on August 19 that the construction of the Sino-Thai railway project is likely to start in October this year. According to the announcement, the first stage of the railway project, starting from Bangkok to Nakhon Ratchasima with total length of 253 kilometers, has made considerable progress, and the preparatory works for the second stage (from Nakhon Ratchasima to Nong Khai) would also start soon.
Australian airline launches new twice-weekly flights from Zhengzhou to Melbourne -- Major Australian airline Jetstar announced on August 23 that it will launch a new direct flight service from the Chinese city of Zhengzhou to the Australian city of Melbourne, starting in December. Cargo train links central China's Zhengzhou with Munich -- A new China-Europe freight train service began August 21, linking Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, with Munich, Germany. Jiangxi Youse Construction (Group) win bid for Kenya Highway Project -- Jiangxi Youse Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. lately has won the bid for the asphalt standard highway extension and maintenance project in Kenya, reported the cnmn.com.cn on August 21.
