Malaysia to introduce Chinese autopilot trains into LRT system -- Prasarana Malaysia, a public transport infrastructure company, signed an agreement with a consortium led by China's rolling stock manufacturer CRRC on August 2 to introduce autopilot trains to Malaysia's public transportation system. Prasarana, which is owned by the Malaysian government, awarded the 1.56-billion-ringgit (364.11-million-U.S. dollar) Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) work package of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) to a consortium including CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive (CRRC ZELC) and Siemens Ltd China.
Belarus' largest substation constructed by Chinese enterprise sees completion -- Belarus' largest substation was completed July 31 by a Chinese enterprise, marking its readiness to convert electricity for the first nuclear power plant in the eastern European country. After three years of construction by China's state-owned enterprise North China Power Engineering Co. Ltd, the 330-kV Pastvy substation, located in the northern state of Pastvy, can deliver 110 kV of power to the states of Grodno, Vitebsk and Minsk.

China to boost green manufacturing in Yangtze River Economic Belt -- China will develop green manufacturing in the Yangtze River Economic Belt to reduce pollution and boost economic growth. Beijing shuts down low-grade factories in Tongzhou -- Beijing's Tongzhou subsidiary administrative center has shut down over 130 factories in an overhaul of industrial structure to build a green city. China approves airport project in Guizhou -- China's top economic planner has approved an airport project in southwest China's Guizhou Province, with a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan (267 million U.S. dollars).The airport in Weining is designed to handle up to 350,000 passengers and 1,050 tonnes of cargo every year by 2025, according to the National Development and Reform Commission.
CHEC signs contract on waste power generation project in Angola -- China Harbour Engineering Co., Ltd. (CHEC) and Angolan Ministry of Environment have entered into a contract recently on building a garbage power plant in Angola. The project, with a total investment of 195 million US dollars, involves construction of various waste incineration and power generation facilities, several types of garbage sorting facilities and ancillary facilities.
Nigeria takes delivery of locomotives from China -- Nigeria on July 27 received two locomotive engines from China, the country's transportation minister said. Minister Rotimi Amaechi told reporters in the country's capital Abuja that 10 more locomotives were expected to arrive in the country by September.
