China introduces emergencycybersecurity plan --China released on June 27 anemergency response plan for Internet security incidents. The plan wasformulated and released by the Office of the Central Leading Group for CyberspaceAffairs, to "improve handling of cybersecurity incidents, prevent andreduce damage, protect the public interest and safeguard national security,public safety and social order." The plan divides cybersecurity incidentsinto six categories, including pernicious procedural incidents, cyber attacksand information security incidents.
Liaoning FTZ acts as portal to emerging regional markets -- The Dalian area of the LiaoningPilot Free Trade Zone aims to become an important area opening-up to and cooperatingwith Northeast Asia, local officials in Daliansaid. On June 12, 150 noted companies, including Intel and Pfizer, recruitedprofessionals at an employment event of the Dalian area. The Dalian FTZ area was launchedin Dalian Jinpu New Area on April 10 and covers an area of 59.96 squarekilometers, accounting for about half of the area of the Liaoning Pilot FreeTrade Zone.
