From May 1 to 4, the 2nd Jiangxi Cultural Tourism Industry Expo and Trade Fair offered foreign students from countries including Pakistan, Russia and Uzbekistan a splendid chance to experience the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) techniques and eco-goods.
The exhibition zone of Yifeng, a county with high greenery coverage in east China's Jiangxi Province left a lasting impression among the crowds of foreign and Chinese visitors.
Four categories of 30-plus exhibits were on display, including creative ICH products such as bamboo handicrafts, root carvings and thread velvet embroidery products as well as local specialties such as spicy sauce, rice noodles and dried fruits.
When spotting a root carving work, a foreign student from Uzbekistan said it was amazing and took a photo immediately to share the charming Chinese handicraft with his family members.
As the core exhibits of Yifeng County exhibition zone, local root carvings dating back centuries were in focus, drawing a large number of visitors at their booths.

Fond particularly of natural and green foods in China, a girl student from Turkmenistan and her friends tasted Yifeng desserts including the ones made from hawthorn fruit, praising their good flavors while talking with exhibitors.
Many other foreign students recorded short videos to introduce Yifeng's bamboo culture, tea culture and spicy sauce, initiating chances for more online talks between Chinese and foreign youths on overseas social media.
An official from Yifeng County bureau of culture and tourism noted that the 2nd Jiangxi Cultural Tourism Industry Expo and Trade Fair further deepened the international communication between Yifeng and the world, saying Yifeng will further leverage culture as the bridge to attract more foreign youths to gain more knowledge about Yifeng and Jiangxi.
