Inner Mongolia Transportation Group Co., Ltd., a leading transport infrastructure construction operator in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has pledged to step up construction of key transport projects while continuing to push forward development of green transportation in 2026, the company said at a recent meeting.
The group posted steady growth in profits in the first quarter of 2026 as compared with the same period of last year, with continuous improvement in quality of the profits and operational efficiency, laying a strong foundation for the performance in 2026.
The company will focus on 12 key transport projects in 2026 with a total investment of 8.43 billion yuan. Included are eight projects that have already been under construction and four new ones.
While accelerating the construction of key projects, the company has been vigorously promoting the development of green and new energy. The group's subsidiary Inner Mongolia Expressway Industry Co., Ltd. has cumulatively invested 400 million yuan to build 1,227 charging stations across the autonomous region, serving 1.6 million customers annually and achieving full coverage of charging facilities on 12,000 kilometers of highways under the group's administration.
The 11 distributed photovoltaic power stations that have been put into operation have reduced carbon emissions by over 2,500 tons annually, playing a leading and demonstrative role of state-owned enterprises in the green transformation of the transportation sector.
Inner Mongolia High Speed Technology Industry Co., Ltd., another subsidiary of the group, has built 20 new energy charging stations, put into operation 80 electric heavy-duty trucks and 12 new energy construction machines, which have been used in short-distance transfer pilot projects in mines and power plants. It has also opened up three charging channels at ports, initially forming a full-domain charging and operation system.
Liu Min, chairman of the company, stated that in 2026, the company will focus on promoting the construction of a zero-carbon transportation channel for coal from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, actively explore the application of unmanned driving and pilot driving, and continuously strengthen the safety production.
