BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- As temperatures drop in winter, greenhouses have become crucial for ensuring a stable vegetable supply. State Grid Linyi Electric Power Supply Company has recently sent technicians to Lanling National Agricultural Park to assist the park in conducting a comprehensive inspection of its electrical facilities, promptly eliminate safety hazards, and provide park staff with essential training on electrical safety and electric shock prevention, fully safeguarding the safety of electricity use in winter.
At Lanling National Agricultural Park, vegetable cultivation is transforming toward digitalization and automation. The all-electric smart greenhouse leverages ubiquitous Internet of Things and AI technologies, featuring an automated seeding line capable of sowing 1,500 seedlings per hour.
The three-dimensional pipe cultivation model has significantly enhanced space utilization and vegetable yield. A single smart greenhouse alone supplies over 200,000 pollution-free vegetables annually to markets across the province and the Yangtze River Delta region.
State Grid Linyi Electric Power Supply Company has proactively implemented a new zero-carbon operational model for agricultural parks. It has also supported Lanling National Agricultural Park in the construction and commissioning of photovoltaic projects. With an average annual generation of 350,000 kWh, these installations provide a continuous supply of green power for smart greenhouse operations.
An intelligent energy management platform for dual control of energy consumption and carbon emissions has been established. Through simulation modeling, the platform performs comparative analysis of such data as energy consumption, photovoltaic power, environmental parameters, carbon emissions, and carbon absorption, thereby enhancing the park's intelligent management capabilities.
Following the renovation, the park has reduced its energy consumption by ten percent year-on-year, achieving annual electricity savings of approximately 185,000 kWh. (Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
