BEIJING, April 29 (Xinhua) -- At the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2025), the car brand Jetour of China's automaker Chery unveiled its new G series lineup, marking the brand's entry into the high-end market with luxury off-road models.
At Auto Shanghai 2025, Jetour also showcased its newly-launched Generation of All-terrain Intelligent Architecture (GAIA), which is equipped with two powertrain systems and a chassis that are specially designed for off-road scenarios.
Supported by six off-road technologies, the GAIA architecture delivers lightweight construction, superior energy efficiency, outstanding range, and exceptional all-terrain capability, offering better off-road driving experiences.

It is planned that Jetour's G Series models, including the all-terrain luxury hybrid electric off-road SUV G700, the premium pickup F700, the flagship SUV G900 and others, will be equipped with the GAIA architecture starting this year.
The G700 model will take the lead with a global debut in Dubai and a simultaneous release in China and international markets during the fourth quarter of 2025, marking the first time that the brand realizes synchronized global launch.
In terms of smart cabin, the new models are equipped with a 77-inch interactive screen powered by the Qualcomm 8155 chipset, and are supported by low-orbit satellite communication and AI voice assistants, enabling voice control, vehicle-device connectivity, and satellite communication.
Combined with features such as zero-gravity seats, intelligent fragrance systems, and therapeutic massage functions, the new models create mobile cabin spaces that seamlessly blend cutting-edge technology with premium comfort, ensuring both refined off-road capability and elevated travel experience.
The launch of the G series will further accelerate Jetour's globalization journey, according to Chery's Chairman Yin Tongyue.
So far, Jetour's global cumulative sales have surpassed 1.68 million units, with its footprint extending across 67 countries and regions including the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and South America, supported by a network of more than 2,000 sales and service outlets worldwide.
In 2024, Jetour's annual sales exceeded 560,000 units, up 80.3 percent year-on-year, recording good sales performance in countries including Angola, Qatar, Yemen, Uruguay, Panama and so on.
At the Auto Shanghai 2025 launch event, Jetour also unveiled a number of "game-changing" technologies designed to further push the boundaries of off-road travel.
For instance, the G900 model, positioned as an ultra-luxury amphibious electric hybrid off-road SUV, is equipped with a dual-mode amphibious technology, which is adapted from marine propulsion systems and scaled for mass automotive use.

According to representatives with the brand, the G900 model is made for adventurous explorers seeking ultimate travel experience. It is equipped with a marine-grade propulsion system featuring an 800V high-voltage platform, 2500N of thrust, IP68 waterproofing standards, advanced anti-corrosion treatment, and a 6-axis gyroscope-based intelligent floating system.
It is said that the propulsion system is fully operational at depths of up to 1.5 meters underwater, and is capable of maintaining stable navigation posture and ensuring safety even in extreme environments.
Additionally, for the vehicle to switch between land and water modes, it requires no manual input from users, as the system can automatically identify the scenario and activate the appropriate mode.
Besides, an innovative onboard oxygen supply system is also introduced to cope with high-altitude expeditions. The system provides diffused cabin oxygen, targeted oxygen outlets for mild altitude sickness, and high-concentration oxygen delivery for more severe cases, safeguarding the users in challenging environments.
Other integrated features, such as onboard drones for aerial pathfinding, and solar and micro-wind recharging capabilities ensuring continuous power supply even in remote deserts and wilderness zones, were also showcased at the event.
It is learned that the entire G series lineup will roll out to international markets in phases by the year 2027. (Edited by Yu Huichen with Xinhua Silk Road, yuhuichen@xinhua.org)
