BEIJING, July 3 (Xinhua) -- With water level falling in a flood-hit village in Pingjiang County in the city of Yueyang, central China's Hunan Province, electrical workers started intense operations on Tuesday to repair power facilities and restore power supply in a timely manner.

As original roads had been damaged by the flood, a repair team from the Pingjiang branch of State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company departed at 7 am, taking a detour in the mountain and arrived in Jintang Village an hour later. Checking every electric pole along the power supply lines, the team was committed to restoring power supply for the village by 10 pm.

By 2 pm on Tuesday, State Grid Yueyang Electric Power Supply Company had sent a total of 592 emergency repair workers, 181 vehicles, 9 emergency power generation vehicles and 25 generators to carry out emergency repairs, trying its best to restore power supply in the flood-hit areas as soon as possible.
