BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Aiming at promoting cooperation on Silk Road e-commerce through facilitating high-quality Chinese products to enter overseas markets, Shanghai-based Greenland Group on Monday signed agreements to work with multiple global enterprises, reported China Securities Journal.
Leveraging its international trade industry chain resources, Greenland Group will work with Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd. (Mindray), China's leading medical solution provider, on promoting the export of Mindray's medical devices including automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The two sides have also agreed to jointly serve the construction of emergency rescue systems in Shanghai and other cities in the Yangtze River Delta region, participating in centralized procurement and distribution of medical equipment.
Looking to bring high-quality Chinese commodities such as medical devices, mechanical and electrical equipment, and consumer goods to Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries, Greenland Group will work with Kazakhstan's Integrity Prosperity Group Ltd. to establish a demonstration center for made-in-China commodities in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan. Specifically, the two sides will take Mindray's AED products, operating room equipment, basic consumables and oral consumables as important starting points to promote medical devices export business, with the export scale expected to exceed 60 million yuan (about 8.35 million U.S. dollars) in the first year of cooperation.
The Shanghai-based company has also signed a cooperation agreement with South Korea's Dayou Group. The two parties will make use of Dayou Group's commercial and retail network, as well as supply chain resources in South Korea to expand the export of well-known Chinese alcohol products to South Korea, with the export scale expected to exceed 100 million yuan in the first year of cooperation. The two companies will also work together on other fields including electric vehicle exports, hotel operation management, e-commerce warehousing and logistics networks, expanding their export business in East and Southeast Asia.
In January 2024, Greenland Group issued a development plan for Silk Road e-commerce. These newly-signed cooperation agreements mark the implementation of the first batch of cooperation results under the plan. (Edited by Yu Huichen with Xinhua Silk Road, yuhuichen@xinhua.org)
