BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- As persistent continuous heat wave and reduced rainfall, Yueyang City in central China's Hunan Province is experiencing a summer drought, which has challenged the city's power supply. In respond to this situation, State Grid Yueyang Power Supply Company, a branch of State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Limited, has mounted a full-fledged, coordinated effort to ensure power supply and stabilize economic activities.
In Liangxinbao Town, Junshan District of Yueyang City, the company has expanded the capacity of power conductors. Four power conductors with cross-section of 25 square millimeters were thickened and replaced by 240-square-meter ones, and a 315 kVA transformer as well as a three-in-one distribution cabinet were installed.
