BEIJING, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- In recent years, based on beef cattle industry, Yangxin County in east China's Shandong Province implemented a green and low-carbon development model in an all-round and whole-process manner, thus promoting the high-quality development in a green way.

Through big data technologies, 29 national and provincial modern agricultural industrial parks and beef cattle industrial clusters in the county were integrated and managed, and a whole beef cattle industry chain of has been constructed.

Yangxin County has implemented the "replace grain crop with feed crop cultivation" project for six consecutive years, basically achieving full coverage of large-scale farms, and a total of 626,900 tonnes of silage corn have been collected and stored, involving more than 5,000 planting households, achieving a win-win situation of planting and breeding sectors.

The replanted silage corn could be eaten by cattle and sheep, solving a series of problems such as polluting the environment and damaging the soil due to straw burning.

Moreover, the county constructed 11 centralized collection tanks of 5,000 cubic meters of livestock and poultry manure in 10 townships and streets to ensure that livestock and poultry manure can be stored, transported and used.

The county actively promoted clean heating modes, and completed the transformation of biomass clean heating in more than 100,000 households in the county, and more than 95percentof rural households have achieved clean heating.

It is learned the county invested 357 million yuan to build a waste incineration power generation project, with daily treatment of 500 tonnes of domestic waste, while each tonne of waste generates power of about 300 degrees.
