IFA, the consumer electronics trade fair held in Berlin, Germany, has returned with its first full edition since 2019, but in smaller form than before the coronavirus pandemic. Around 1,100 exhibitors from 46 countries are registered. However, the trade fair did not say how many guests are expected. "IFA is back," said managing director Martin Ecknig. In 2019, more than 1,900 exhibitors were registered, and about 245,000 people visited the trade fair. After a mini-edition in 2020, IFA did not take place at all last year.
The industry has used the Berlin event to showcase things like new high-definition televisions, the networking of different devices, and energy efficiency in household technology.
