HEFEI, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- East China's Anhui Province recorded robust foreign trade growth in the first eight months of 2022, according to local customs.
The province's total import and export value hit 506.6 billion yuan (about 73.1 billion U.S. dollars) from January to August, up 15.2 percent year on year.
Exports rose 21.9 percent year on year to 310.69 billion yuan, while imports increased 6.1 percent to 195.91 billion yuan.
Imports and exports between the province and countries and regions along the Belt and Road soared to 137.02 billion yuan, up 22 percent compared with the same period in 2021. Trade volume between Anhui and other members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership hit 135.38 billion yuan, up 15.3 percent year on year.
The province's export of automobiles and automobile parts reached 15.99 billion yuan and 12.51 billion yuan, up 61 percent and 70.9 percent year on year, respectively.
