HEFEI, July 28 (Xinhua) -- East China's Anhui Province has reported robust growth in its auto industry in the first half of the 2022, according to the provincial department of economy and information technology.
A total of 781,000 automobiles were made in H1 of 2022, up by 6.1 percent year on year, the department said.
New-energy vehicles (NEVs) accounted for 27.4 percent of the total output, with 214,000 units, up 94.1 percent year on year.
Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd., Anhui's major automaker, sold 475,250 units worldwide in the first half of 2022, a year-on-year increase of 12 percent. It exported 148,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 25 percent, to overseas markets such as Brazil and Egypt.
In the same period, another Anhui-based auto giant JAC Motors sold 235,200 units, including 48,700 units exported to the overseas market.
