MILAN, June 22 (Class Editori) — After the good performance thanks to the distribution agreement with Zappieri Milano, the stylist and designer Hui Zhou Zhao has been continuing to invest in the Italian market by opening HUI Milano, her first headquarter in the Italian fashion city, aimed at strengthening the bond between Italy and China.
The partnership with the brand Zappieri Milano —a historic Milan-based showroom with a network of 3,000 customers both in Italy and abroad— which was launched as early as 2019, will be strengthened thanks to new bilateral creative projects and distribution expansion. The projects include the opening of a boutique in the heart of the Italian city by the end of 2022 along with a series of temporary shops in Italy's top concept stores, complementing the already existing network of 20 stores.
The expansion strategy will also reach shopping malls in Europe and East Asia, where the Chinese brand HUI —which from next winter will also be active in Hong Kong— is already present with more than 30 monobrand stores. The launch of the brand's e-commerce platform for the Italian market is also planned for the same period, as well as the implementation of a B2B reassortment plan that will complete the distribution network.
The special bond that unites Zhao to the capital of Lombardy stems from the days when the stylist was pursuing a master's degree in Design and Fashion at the Polytechnic University of Milan, which has now materialized with the creation of the headquarter in Corso Monforte 41, in Quadrilatero della Moda. At home Zhao is a promoter of social and cultural initiatives such as the Centennial Fashion Museum and the Hui Fund of Shenzhen Women and Children's Development Foundation.
