MILAN, May 19 (Class Editori) — More than 2,000 companies have registered on the Business Matching platform launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CDP and SIMEST. There have been more than 5,000 proposals for meetings between Italian and foreign companies, starting with Chinese, Indian and Japanese counterparts.
Born to create business opportunities and bring Italian companies into contact with their counterparts in the main markets of interest for the export and internationalization of the Italian economic system, the platform —after having started its operation in the most distant and complex markets such as India, China and Japan— will expand its reach to other countries. As of next May 23, the tool will be extended to Morocco and then expand to Indonesia in September.
Right in view of the concluding events of the Indonesian G20 presidency, the Business Matching platform has been selected, in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the digital space to host the G20 Digital Innovation Network, which will showcase the most promising startups and venture capitalists from the G20 countries, fostering collaborations and new business projects.
In the coming months, a program will also be developed to enhance the female managerial and entrepreneurial component on the platform in coordination with Women20 (W20), the G20's engagement group of women's organizations, businesswomen's associations and think tanks, aiming at promoting women's economic empowerment internationally.
By 2022, the platform will also be open to Mexico and the US, countries where a network of partnerships with institutions, chambers of commerce and business associations will be established.
