BEIJING, April 22 (Xinhua) -- The ASEAN-Hainan Free Trade Port Think Tank Network, co-initiated by 17 think tanks in 9 Asian countries, was established on Thursday during the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2022 held from April 20 to 22 in Boao, a coastal town in China's southern province of Hainan.
As an important academic network and collaborative research platform connecting China and other Asian countries, the Network includes think tanks from Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Laos.
At present, well-known domestic and foreign think tanks including China Institute for Reform and Development (CIRD), the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) of Indonesia and the Center for New Inclusive Asia of Malaysia have joined the Network.
It is learned that the Network will promote synergy of strategies, policy coordination and experience sharing among regions by holding forums and activities, and establishing sharing mechanism.
