InfoQuest (December 2, 2021) - Mr. Praphat Phothasoothon, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand announced at No. 5/2564 meeting of the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards, the bureau issued 332 licenses according to seven mandatory standards related to sulphur dioxide fumigation of fresh fruits (TAS.1004-2557), mushroom culture (TAS.2507-2559), peanut kernel (TAS.4702-2557), raw milk (TAS.6401-2557), etc., among which there are 236 production licenses, 88 export licenses and 8 import licenses.
The meeting also examined and adopted six draft standards for agricultural products, including coix seed standards, good practices for animal breeding, good practices for monitoring antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in livestock, guidelines for domestic pig production systems and animal welfare, good practices for shrimp farms, specification for labeling of agricultural products.
