BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) --The 2021 Guangxi Culture and Tourism Development Conference was held in Beihai city of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from Sunday to Tuesday.
The conference proposed that Guangxi will build itself into a world-class tourist destination, and build a system with high-quality service, high-efficiency governance and high-level promotion mechanism for Guangxi's cultural and tourism industry.

It is learned that Guangxi is accelerating implementation of Guilin's world-class tourism city construction plan and three-year action plan in accordance with world-class standards, and speeding up pace to build Guilin into a world-class landscape tourism city, a city of cultural tourism, a health and leisure resort as well as a tourism consumption center.
Meanwhile, a batch of toursim projects were stressed to advance their construction pace and enhance intergrated development, such as Beibu Gulf international coastal resort, Bama International Longevity Tourist Resort, Tourism Belt along China-Vietnam Border, West River Ecotourism Belt and Nanningas a regional international tourist center city.
Guangxi is a charmful place withunique geographical advantages, excellent ecological environment and ethnic culture, folk customs. Liu Ning, Party chief of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, stated that it is necessary to establish the concept of Guangxi's overall scenic spots, break the boundaries of administrative regions, and promote the linkage development among regions, cities, and scenic spots.

During the conference, a mobile program of Guangxi Smart Cultural Tourism Integrated Service Platform was launched to facilitate easier assess to online tourism information and services in Guangxi. Tourists can realize comprehensive service and travel complaint services online through the program.
A total of 33 major cultural tourism cooperation projects in Guangxi with an overall investment of more than 93 billion yuan were signed during the conference. Specifically, 17 are contracted in Beihai with a total investment of 81 billion yuan, making a new milestone in Beihai's cultural tourism construction.
As the host city of this conference, from January to September this year, Beihai City received a total of 38,916,400 domestic tourists, a year-on-year increase of 57.75 percent, equal to 100.33 percent of the number in the same period of 2019.
