BEIJING, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) – South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and southwest China's Yunnan Province have recently reached a framework agreement on jointly promoting institutional innovation in pilot Free Trade Zones (FTZ) in the two regions, aiming to accumulate more experience for the opening-up of FTZs in China's border areas, reported Guangxi Daily Monday.
The agreement stipulated that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in the construction of the FTZs, and intensify exchanges in areas such as policy, trade transformation and upgrading, cross-border labor cooperation, cross-border settlement, and customs clearance facilitation.
The two sides agree to further opening-up and enhance the governance of the FTZs through enhancing cooperation in the rule of law. At the same time, Guangxi and Yunnan will also explore and promote the innovative development of the FTZs.
The joint efforts will also be given to strengthen the two regions in major industrial projects, organizing forums, and talent development and exchange.
