BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) plans to introduce a string of measures to boost the brand consumption in China, reported China Securities Journal Thursday quoting an official.
According to MOC spokesperson Shu Yuting, efforts will be made to develop time-honored brands, including improving related policies and measures to promote the protection, inheritance and innovative development of these brands and inspire them to introduce more products and services rich in fashion elements that meet the needs of consumers, and guiding localities and e-commerce platforms to launch promotional activities to provide consumers with real benefits.
Efforts will also be made to scale up new brands, Shu noted, including facilitating the sales of brand goods to let more local brands enter the market, developing characteristic blocks and business districts, and leveraging exhibitions like the China International Import Expo, the China International Consumer Products Expo and the China International Fair for Trade in Services to introduce international high-quality brands, together with domestic brands, to improve the supply quality of brand goods and services and meet the quality-driven, diversified and personalized needs of consumers.
