BEIJING, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Northeast China's Liaoning Province has deployed 330 million yuan (about 51.31 million U.S. dollars) to boost the development of e-commerce business in 20 counties since 2015, reported Liaoning Daily on Monday.
During the years, the provincial government has promoted rural e-commerce by advancing express delivery, improving rural e-commerce public service, and holding training sessions on rural e-commerce.
So far, the province has constructed 41 county-level e-commerce public service centers, 128 e-commerce storage and delivery centers, and over 12,000 village-level distribution centers. Besides, more than 150,000 jobs have been created thanks to the booming rural e-commerce.
Total online retail sales of agricultural products in Liaoning amounted to 14.9 billion yuan in 2020, up 54.1 percent year on year, 25.7 percentage points higher than the national average.
