BEIJING, May 19 (Xinhua) -- The China-ASEAN Meteorological Development Index co-developed by the Meteorological Bureau of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and China Economic Information Service (CEIS) has generated initial analytical report on meteorological development in Laos.

The China-ASEAN Meteorological Development Index Report (Laos), which contains the latest findings under the index, was applauded during a briefing for its data analysis on the country's capacity for meteorological observation, weather forecasting, meteorological services, and environmental support as well as practical suggestions.

China-ASEAN Meteorological Development Index is a key project of China-ASEAN multilateral meteorological cooperation innovation, according to Zhong Guoping, head of Guangxi Meteorological Bureau, noting that the index could help produce China's solution to world meteorological cooperation and advance meteorological development in ASEAN countries.

Based on 49 indicators under four evaluation dimensions, the China-ASEAN Meteorological Development Index is compiled to provide indexed analysis on meteorological development and present demand for meteorological equipment and services in ASEAN countries, so as to provide digital references for further cooperation in the field.
