BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- China-ASEAN Business Center officially opened on Saturday in the Nanning Area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Nanning, capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

As a major innovation demonstration project of the Guangxi pilot FTZ, the center aims to become an open, commercial, and international one-stop service platform for boosting economic and trade cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The China-ASEAN Business Center covers a total area of about 22,000 square meters, performing functions related to business and investment, legal service, finance, logistics, digital information, science and innovation incubation, agricultural and economic cooperation, cultural and tourism cooperation, human resource service, and transnational organizations. At present, it has attracted nearly 30 business associations and well-known enterprises from China and ASEAN countries as well as international organizations to settle down.

The business center provides comprehensive services for enterprises from Malaysia and other ASEAN countries to expand business in China. It will galvanize cooperation between Malaysia and China, said Azlimi Zakaria, consul general of the Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning.

In the next step, the China-ASEAN Business Center will move faster to introduce more international institutions, business associations, enterprises and third-party service organizations, promote implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement, and speed up fostering a first-class market-oriented and law-based international business environment in the pilot FTZ.
