BEIJING, April 16 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is soliciting public opinion on a draft document about the identification criteria and management measures of chemical industrial parks on Thursday.
The move is aimed at regulating the construction of chemical industrial parks, improve their safety and green development level, and ensure the high-quality development of the industry.
According to the draft, chemical parks and the enterprises inside the park are encouraged to adopt new-generation information technologies (IT), such as 5G communication technology and artificial intelligence technology, to build digital workshops and smart factories in a bid to improve the informatization, digitization and intelligence level.
Meanwhile, efforts should be made to fully integrate the information resources of chemical industrial parks, use a variety of methods to build smart chemical industrial parks, improve the perception, monitoring, early warning, disposal and evaluation capabilities, and upgrade their comprehensive management and control level.
