"We will make the interaction in the space sector an exemplary area of bilateral cooperation in the field of high technologies," Zhang said.
MOSCOW, March 10 (Xinhua) -- China and Russia will tap partnership potential in the space sector and promote practical cooperation, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said on Tuesday.
"We will make the interaction in the space sector an exemplary area of bilateral cooperation in the field of high technologies," Zhang said in a written interview with Russia's Interfax news agency.
Over the past 30 years, he noted, the two countries have constantly deepened and expanded areas of cooperation, and achieved substantial results in areas including Earth observation, lunar and deep space exploration, aerospace electronic components, and monitoring of space debris.
Zhang recalled that China and Russia signed two pacts in September 2019 on cooperation in lunar and deep space exploration.
The two documents have been efficiently implemented, which has laid a solid foundation for China-Russia cooperation in lunar and deep space exploration, the diplomat said.
