BEIJING, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region aims to achieve 41.3 billion yuan (about 6.38 billion U.S. dollars) of the agricultural added value in 2025, representing an average annual growth rate of 3 percent, according to a recent conference on the region's agriculture and rural affairs.
The grain acreage and output will remain stable by 2025 and the output value of specialty industries such as the wine, dairy, beef cattle and sheep, and green food will account for more than 90 percent of the total agricultural output value in the region.
By 2025, a total of 11 million mu (15 mu equal one hectare) of high-standard farmland will be built in the region, and 5.5 million mu of farmland will achieve high-efficiency water-saving irrigation.
Meanwhile, the region will strive to bring the annual per capita disposable income of rural residents to 20,407 yuan by 2025, an average annual growth rate of over 8 percent, said the conference.
The region will highlight the concept of green development, continuously improve the level of technology, mechanization, and informatization in the agricultural industry, and increase output rate of the arable lands during the period from 2021 to 2025.
