NANCHANG, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- East China's Jiangxi Province saw its foreign trade grew by 14.3 percent year on year to a record-high number of over 401 billion yuan (about 61.8 billion U.S. dollars) in 2020 despite COVID-19, according to a local press conference on Monday.
Jiangxi's export volume reached 292 billion yuan in 2020, up by 17 percent year on year, while imports totaled nearly 109 billion yuan, up by 7.5 percent. So said Huang Qifeng with the customs of Nanchang, the provincial capital, at the conference.
The province's trade volumes with its top ten foreign trading partners grew by 16.7 percent year on year, including countries and regions of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the United States, and the European Union.
The province's import and export volumes with countries along the Belt and Road also rose by 13.9 percent year on year in 2020. Enditem
