JINAN, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Weichai Power Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese powertrain manufacturer, sold more than 1 million engines this year, up by 33 percent year on year, it said on Monday.
The group posted a 15 percent growth in total revenues and profits respectively this year, despite significant revenue and profit drops of its overseas companies due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thereinto, they sold over 500,000 heavy vehicle engines, accounting for half of the total sales.
Weichai also launched a truck diesel engine this year whose thermal efficiency can increase to over 50 percent for heavy commercial vehicles.
