KUNMING, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Yunnan Province saw its grain output at 18.96 million tonnes this year, up 1.38 percent from last year, local authorities said.
The province has managed to sustain the growth of its grain output despite drought and pest attacks in some areas as well as the impact of COVID-19, according to the Yunnan survey office under the National Bureau of Statistics.
Its grain cultivation area reached 4.17 million hectares, official data showed. This year's per-unit yield stood at 4,549.25 kg per hectare, up 1.34 percent compared with last year. Enditem
