MILAN, Nov. 5 (Class Editori) - The third edition of the China International Import Expo has officially started, with an opening ceremony at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
Among the Italian guests who were selected to attend the event per video conference, there was the President of Fondazione Italia-Cina, Mario Boselli, on behalf of Fondazione Italia-Cina, the Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and AICE - The Italian Association of foreign trade. Also this year, following the mandate of the Ministry of Trade, they have organized a group of exhibitors, which will officially represent the Italian presence. Together with ICE, about 70 companies are taking part.
After the success of the first two editions and despite the difficult moment that all the countries are experiencing due to the pandemic, China has decided to confirm the 2020 appointment with China International Import Expo as a signal of activities and consumption recovery in China, with the expectation of quickly get over the serious global health emergency.
The target of the initiative is that of providing new business occasions to countries and regions worldwide, strengthening cooperation and promoting the global economy development.
During this year edition, 400,000 visitors from 120 countries are expected, who will discover products of over 2,000 companies, shown on an exhibition area of more than 360,000 square metres. Around seventy Italian companies are participating this year, among which 12 companies supported by Fondazione Italia-Cina, the Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and AICE, thanks to the signature of a collaboration agreement for the exhibition promotion and the organisation of a group of Italian companies attending the event, in order to provide a better visibility to our country's exhibitors in respect of visitors and media.
As a consequence of last edition positive experience, also this year the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) is the official partner of Fondazione Italia-Cina, the Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and AICE. ICBC, which is the largest and most important Chinese bank, thanks to its plentiful contacts' network, has organised the China Europe CEO Summit and the B2B Matchmaking Session ICBC, scheduled on November 6. During this event, Italian exporters will have the opportunity of meeting Chinese importers interested in their products.
