MILAN, Sept. 7 (Class Editori) - The Cagliari Football Club enhances the training programs of young football players and coaches in China. The club from Sardinia has indeed signed a MoU with Xiapu, in the coast province of Fujian.
The coaches of the junior team will have the task of bringing their knowledge and professionalism to China. A targeted job, carried out in schools. Moreover, in the context of the agreement, the best Chinese talents selected in their country will arrive in Sardinia, together with trainers and the representatives of institutions: an occasion to deepen and first-hand experience the Cagliari model.
However, the MoU is not only related to sport. The collaboration aims at going beyond the football field, in order to reach the economic and cultural one as well. For this reason, also the Confindustria of South Sardinia and the Municipality of Cagliari have attended the videocall for the signature of the agreement.
"The Cagliari Football Club will provide its knowledge in order to give its contribution in enhancing the level of the junior football teams in Xiapu and fostering their internationalization" as the General Director of Cagliari, Mario Passetti, has underlined. "The agreement might also ease the achievement of new and interesting collaboration opportunities between Sardinia and the Fujian Province."
The experience of the Cagliari Football Club in Xiapu has started last August. Passetti, the General Manager, together with the International ambassador of the club, namely the young teams' and Under 17 coach Daniele Conti, had held meetings with authorities and local personalities, directors and trainers of the team from Xiapu.
In the delegation, also the responsible of the Cagliari Football Academy- Bernardo Mereu- and the Business Development Manager, Claudia Balu. On that occasion, trainers and coaches of the Cagliari team had spent a month in China in order to start to pass down their own knowledge about the management and organisation of an Academy to their colleagues. The cooperation between the Cagliari team and the local realities has continued also outside the football ground when, last December, Stefano Melis- the sales director- has held conferences on the working model of the club to students from the Fujian Normal University.
"We wish that the agreement between Cagliari Football Club and Xiapu Government may promote not only the development of our football teams, but also the cooperation between the two areas, through economic, trade and touristic exchanges," as Huang Shaorong- deputy director of the Office of Foreign Affairs in the same province – has stated.
According to Francesco Marini, President of Confindustria South Sardinia, the agreement is "a significant initiative in the youth sport, which will at the same time create new connections and new development opportunities."
Paolo Truzzu- the Mayor of Cagliari- has underlined the importance of "strengthening, through cultural exchanges, the relationship between the two populations and the comparison among millennial traditions.
